Dr.
Robert Samms
Dr. Robert Samms has worked in various professional
capacities. He served as school principal, educational
director for a private school system, and business administrator.
His service as clergyman for most of his career included
marriage and family counseling. He served for seven
years as president of the Quebec Conference of churches
with headquarters in Montreal, Canada, where he worked
in two languages-English and French. His responsibilities
included serving several linguistic and ethnic sectors,
such as French Quebecois, Hispanic, and Filipino. Dr.
Samms has studied and worked in four countries. He obtained
his doctor of philosophy degree from McGill University
in Canada.
Dr. Samms is specially qualified for giving motivational
lectures on marriage and family. Not only has he spent
over three decades in the area of marriage and family
counseling as a pastor, but for three years he has dedicated
himself to writing the books, Making Marriage Meaningful
and Paradigms of Marriage, which serve as the basis
of their presentations. Making Marriage Meaningful and
Paradigms of Marriage are based on his own forty-year
marriage to Pamela, whose life has been dedicated to
teaching, and sharing her husband’s ministry to
youth and families. Their four children and spouses
have made their contributions to the book. These may be found at the end of each chapter of Making Marriage Meaningful.
Dr. Samms and his wife, Pamela, share in a full-time
motivational series on marriage. The goal of their presentations
is to enrich the marriage of successful couples, share
successful strategies with those who may need help with
their faltering family, and give those contemplating
marriage a few sound principles to ponder.
